My opinion, for what it's worth... they ate likely both pullets, showboat if combs are the same size. My 6 week old RB have noticeably different sized combs. That said. .. If you ate trying to maintain any autosexing capabilities I would not breed the lighter one. If they aren't easily autosexed at hatch you don't want to perpetuate that.I'm back..They are older..pullets right? A lot of folks thought the lighter one was a cockerel..but it did have a small amount of chipmunk striping on it as a chick, no white spot.

Got a few pictures, hope they show up well enough for ideas..they sure both look like pullets to me. Same size comb. I love the barring coming out on the lighter one.. The legs aren't any different in size either. Not one thicker than the other. I don't see saddle feathers? They hatched, Dec. 30th, so just over two months old.
