Awesome..! post the pics ASAPI've got some Rhodbars that should start hatching tomorrow!!! I got the eggs out of Florida and am so excited to see what I getI have candled them and I think all but one are viable so I may have 8-9 hatch. I have not had this breed before but was attracted to it because of the auto-sexing characteristic as well as the good egg-laying ability. I've been reading through this thread and have learned a lot! Thanks for all the good info.

check for chick pics on this thread. males should NOT be solid yellow. if you got any solid yellow chicks then they must be wheaten(see salmon faverolle chicks https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...d-for-the-byc-2012-calendar/1090#post_7438109) and they can be of both sexWell, I have 6 little Rhodbar babies!! The first three to hatch were girls and I was questioning whether I was really getting females until the 4th chick came - he was SOLID yellow! LOL! So, it was pretty easy to see the difference in the two. The 5th and 6th were also males. There was a 7th one that I was going to toss out but when I candled it, I saw a baby breathing inside! So, I left it in the 'bator. This morning I looked again and it was still breathing but hadn't even pipped, so I made a small hole to see if that would get it started. So far, it has not come out the rest of the way. I'm not sure what to do - if I should just leave it, of help it out. Any ideas?? Hatch day was the 9th so its been a good 36 hours after the others have hatched...... How long should I leave it in the incubator? I had already washed and sterilized the bator and set my BCM eggs in it for lockdown when I suddenly saw that this one was still breathing! So, it is in the incubator with my BCM eggs that are due to hatch Saturday....
