The Rhodebar thread!

Pics
Here are some pics of my rhodebars and some of the promising looking grow outs.

Very Very Impressive...

I´m Thinking I could Re create the Rhodebar here in Nicaragua using Sexlinks, I have all the genes at hand its just a matter of puting them together..

I can find good size spent sexlinks with very dark color to them..

here next to my Dilute rooster

nicalandia.....I have a question for you. Isn't it genetically impossible for a true purebread Rhondebar to lay anything other than a brown tinted egg?? I know that GFF says their Rhodebars are pure, but I also know that the laws of genetics are more reliable than any phone consveration. Not trying to start anything...just wanting to know the bottom line. I understand that in ANY type of breeding, mistakes CAN and sometimes ARE made...I just don't see how these green and blue eggs can be called pure Rhodebars...no matter where they came from. Just because it is Red and someone says it is an Apple...that doesn't make it an Apple................Thanks in advance for yoiur response

Rhodbar are a barred rhode island red, The birds produced by crossing RIR with legbar are not rhodbar. I do not care what GFF says on the phone.

New Hampshire may have mahogany in them. Smyth indicated he isolated the mahogany but the birds would also have to carry a diluter that would effect the Mh.

I agree on the Rhodebar. They even say tinted eggs on their description of Rhodebars on their website.
