The only thing I'll take from this topic is I love the term Noni for a grandmother. That's beautiful.

Thank you aoxa...It is beautiful!

Everyone is familar with the term Nona for grandmother yet in Noni's Sicilian dialect there are many words that end with the letter "i" instead e or a.

Thank you all for allowing me to share a bit of myself. I realize it is non chicken related and adore that some of you enjoyed hearing about Noni.

Here is a picture of Noni and my mother right after WWII ended and they went back to Sicily to see family. Mom was 13. They are standing in front of Teatro Greco in Taormina. Mt. Etna looms right behind..even though you can't see it from this picture. Beautiful!

Ok, I promise any post from now on will only have feathers, forage, and crow nice and early.

Ciao!

Aoxa - I SOOOOooooooooo love your photographs!!!!! With the bird suspended in time, and not running around, I can actually see them in detail and go back for a second look.
It really is helpful in a lot of ways. Not to mention, they are fantastic little works of art and just pleasing to see.
I'm really glad you like them Pullet Surprise :D

I'm honoured that you think they are works of art.

I don't even have kids yet, and I want to be called Noni. It just rolls off the tongue nicely.

Alright folks, please remember that religion brings out strong emotions in people. It is one reason why we discourage religious topics here and in past experience they never end well.

So back to the topic at hand please, before this spirals out of control.

a little of the Pekins food was eaten today. Not much but someone nibbled anyway! I'll feel better when they start eating like the dinosaurs on The Flintstones like they normally do! But I'll take what I can get!
