We shall see! Maybe I lucked out and Cletus got his dad's temperament plus he was hatched with faverolles hopefully they rubbed off.

FWIW, as part of the whole rooster discussion, it has been my experience that temperament is heritable (although there are also aspects that we are responsible for in their environment and rearing as well). Meaning that mean roosters tend to beget mean roosters and nice roosters tend to beget nice roosters. Many folks keep that in mind when choosing breeders - even if you don't intend to have your rooster be like a pet, it can be important (and more pleasant) to be able to handle them easily to care for them (e.g., spur maintenance, examining for mites, bumble foot or injuries, etc.).

That being said, I HAVE seen personally, and heard others describe, that if you get multiple male offspring from a rooster, there may still be a variation in their temperament, so it's not impossible to get a nice boy out of a mean dad. (Conversely, my sweetheart Tank sired two mean little buggers in the group of 7 boys I got in a hatch - they bit me every chance they had. One was fairly large, but that was certainly a stroke against him given the calmer behavior of their siblings.)

I don't know if this is where to post this but has anyone kept multiple roos? As of now I have I think 5 about 8 week old roos. 3 are bantams 1 is a buff and the other is a barred. I am keeping one bantam for sure he belongs to my 12 year old son and he is a great chicken very calm and loving and seems to take good care of his girls so far. The other I am thinking about keeping is the barred I really think he will be a gorgeous bird and make a good protector. I don't want to keep them if they are going to fight each other or ravage my girls. Any input would be appreciated. I do have pics if needed

I think they will fight, It is probably better to keep the bantam because he won't be as mean. It also depends how many hens you have. One rooster should be required for each 8 hens is the best. The less hens there are, the more fighting you will have.

It depends on the amount of hens you have, but if you want to keep the roosters you could start a separate rooster flock. I started a thread in flock management about it called "Rooster Flocks!" if you want to learn more.
