I had such a handsome and polite boy. Loved watching him find treats for the girls and attempt to woo them. Unfortunately, he was too loud for our neighborhood and we had to kill him. Miss seeing his beautiful colors in the flock. The girls seem happier without him, though!

Yes, so sorry about your rooster, our neighbors had to get rid of their roosters for the same reason. Unfortunately the neighbor who complained ended up moving so they bought more.

With no rooster a dominant hen will sometimes step into the role. I've heard they'll even give off a weird crow

Really? Thanks, I never knew that. Well I think another reason They are fighting because The red sex link just got introduced not long ago, So my easter egger is probably trying to show it is dominant right now.

I have an BA hen used of got into nasty fights with the other coop next to hers!
My NH hen that I hatched in my room does now too! I have a video somewhere!

Easter egger and red sex link. The easter egger is winning though.

I separated The red sex link, but I introduced her again then all the chickens started ganging up on it.

If they are bullying her and picking on her a bit, that's okay. If they're injuring each other, drawing serious blood, that Is not okay.
