Unchained Melody - The Platters or The Rightous Brothers

Autum Leaves - Nat King Cole

Las Golondrinas

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes - The Platters

Amor Eterno - Rocio Durcal or Juan Gabriel

Cancion Mixtecta - Lola Beltran

They all remind me of friends and family that have passed from this world.

I can't get through my Greatest Hits of Red Sovine CD without having an emotional breakdown.

My friend was visiting from out of state and we were sitting on the couch listening to that CD with tears streaming down our faces. We were a sight!

Take care,

Tami

P.S. I'm only 35.

OK I just thought of one more...

She is his only need by Winnona Judd

The line in the song where she sings...

"And my, how the time did fly, The babies grew up and moved away...

Left 'em sitting on the front porch rocking, Billy watching Bonnie's hair turn gray"

I don't think that we are such a sad sad lot at all. People make emotional connections to music and that is a very healthy thing to do both physically and emotionally. Music is a wonderful emotional outlet, it can calm the masses and encite the heart.

Calling All Angels - KD Lang & Jane Siberry - is one of the saddest I've ever heard.

Interesting thought on We are the Champions, but I have a notion that was written circa 1977 - years before AIDS was known.
