How many chapters do you have?

I want a copy also. Will give it to my 5 year old granddaughter for her birthday next month. She loves my chickens like I do, and she will love the book!

Chapter 31: Warm

The days were growing longer, and the insects that Fatima of the Gold-dust Feathers loved to munch were returning. This pleased Fatima greatly; she loved barreling about in the freshly grown grass, and basking in the warm sun.
Ophelia of the Chocolate Down was laying again after a long winter, and became immensely friendlier because of it. She now clucked and muttered just like all the other hens, and left a long, chocolate-colored egg in the nest box six days a week.
Though Fatima was not as skilled in the speech of the Great-Handed Ones as Olympia of Midnight, she understood an air of great excitement about them whenever they came out to watch the flock. Olympia insisted that this was for two reasons.
"First of all," she clucked imperiously, "they're planning to get some new chicks very soon. That means some of us will have to go... Lillith, Artemis, Bella, and perhaps Una." At Fatima's stricken expression, Olympia added, "don't worry. You're safe. That's the second reason, see. You've gone and got yourself into a whole heap of fame. The Girl keeps nattering about something called a book."
"What — "
"I have no idea what it is, so save your breath. From what I can gather, though, it's a big deal." Olympia fluffed her feathers and rubbed her beak against her stomach feathers. Fatima noticed there was a small bare patch — was Olympia going broody again? Fatima remembered the last time Olympia was broody. Oh, such confusion! She ducked her head and left Olympia to her own devices, preferring to scurry across the yard to go find Phoebe. Spring was in the air!

Notes from HorseFeathers...
Settler'sDreamFarm: There are twenty chapters and 59 pages in all. Some chapters have been taken out and/or combined, so the story goes up until about two entries prior to Rita's death.

Some new content has been added as well, in addition to full-color photography spreads and ink illustrations (by yours truly).
