first of all, do roosters crow all day long or only in the morning? i am hatching seramas and reallly would like to keep a roo, but it's illegal where i am. is he going to be noisy? all the time? can i keep him somewhere dark in the early part of the day to keep the crowing under control?

...so many questions, and they're ALL about chickens.

From what I heard when I went to the fair.....................the little ones seem to have the loudest crows.

IMO it's not worth potentially losing chickens altogether to try to keep a roo you are not allowed to have. Just my opinion.

Some seramas have squeaky crows (You can see our bird MR. Wonderful on Youtube) BUT some dont.

They are definitely not as loud as standards, but they do crow---and crow whenever they feel like it. Not just in the morning. If you live in town and there are lights out he could crow off and on all night too. Im raising some babies from the squeaky crow line, but I have to raise them to adulthood to see how loud they are......
