Mark froze, staring at the man for a long moment. Then he lunged forward, stopping at the bars of his cell and growling loudly. He was opening and closing his hands repeatedly, stopping himself from reaching through the bars before he started pacing again.

Anna still watched, moving a little to stand beside the bed. Her mouth was opened a little to take in the scent of the meat.
