He is a pretty boy but wouldn't do to well at the shows. He has more of a squirrel tail with a slimmer body build versus the Wyandotte heart shape. His color isn't bad but he would be better with stronger white on his breast. The only other flaw i can see from this picture is his comb at the end pokes up rather than conforms to the head but this is a minor flaw. If you plan to breed or show I would look for a different male. Type is the hardest attribute to correct in a bird. If he had the preferred type I would say he was a keeper.
Good to know he is a good protector and a good guy to his girls. I feel like that is what makes a good roosterIm not worried about showing..was just curious to see if he was a decent bird or not. He is huge! And takes very good care of his girls! And thats good enough for me![]()

PulletI have 2 that are 6 weeks old, one rooster, and one pullet . My pullet looks identical to yours, so I would say pullet!
