I can't sex mine till they are 4-6 weeks. How do you know that yours is a hen ? Just curious.

As you can see their colour can vary quite a bit. These are all from the same parentage.

By the way , they are Gorgous!

I got her from a feed store. However I also purchased 2 ameraucauna's intern were EE's and looks like one is a Roo . They are all 3 suppose to be pullets. It's ok I love then all however I can't keep my Roo I already have one I adore! From what I understand the girls from the feed stre or not as pretty. Next spring I will be hatching my own.

So are they selling them sexed ? Feather sexed ? Mine are 5 weeks old and I've only just confirmed , without doubt 9 roos and 4 hens. Lucky me.

I know what you mean, I hatched out 7 SLW and 5 roos and 2 hens...

So sorry! I got my 6 from TSC. 1 died, then I have 3 roos & 2 girls. Only 1 of the boys has lots of white plumage. He's also the dominant one. I'm keeping him as the roo for my youngest flock. I really want to breed SLWs next spring.

i cant express how it feels to take time to pos not once but three times.(make that four now).
first time my cell goes into one of its fits and i hit a wrong stroke.. everything GONE!!!
second time.. right in the midst it said "warning not enough memmory..." everything GONE!
thierd.. i made it!!.. only to be on the wrong forum in the first place!! after diligently getting one picture at a time... aaahuuu so frustrating!
i wander how far ill get this time.
these are my girls (hope!).
2 from hatchery, 3 from feed store. i wonder if they will look anything like the pictures ive seen.

Hmmm... Please forgive me if I'm wrong, but those look like golden laced. it could just be the lighting

It could just be the flash, but you do tend to get a little redness in some chicks at this age.

Not sure ? They said pullets. However I got 2 EE that were suppose to be ameraucana but turned out to be EE and it's looking like ones a cockerel. I already have the perfect rooster! He knows his place ! Sweet to his girls and my kids. Next year I will hatch my own eggs
