The Sizzle Thread!

I would help out some aspiring Sizzle breeders too, but I'm pretty much in the same boat. When I moved from Va to Tn, I kept one Sizzle hen so I could continue on with my project. She's hatched one Sizzle chick so far this year, so I officially have 2 Sizzles to my name.

I'd love to be at a point where I could share or swap some eggs or chicks with others. Maybe next year :/

I did notice that Sheri Minkner(a breeder with AMAZING Sizzles) has hatching eggs for sale. You could Google her or look her up on Facebook :)

I have some of her offspring from a local breeder. Incredible! I have splash and paint sizzles getting gold tips to their feathers. If you can get some eggs I say go for it!

Thank you!

This one I posted is from Sheri Minkner's hatching eggs:

I just wish I knew what it was. It was sold to me as a cockerel I'm thinking because of the comb and wattles but when I shared pics with Sheri she said it may be a pullet. Has yet to try anything with the two silkie girls I placed it with yesterday so time will tell I guess.

I couldn't remember how old my sizzle babies were! Thank goodness I could look back through this thread to figure it out! Lol

So, looks like they r only 14 weeks old. Seems like I've known them their whole lives!! Oh wait! I have. LMBO

What age r they likely to start breeding?? I noticed yesterday my 2 juvenile cockerels were fighting some. They "play fight" occasionally, but this seemed just a little different.
My bantam coop run is rather large, so I've decided to split it in half so I can keep a smooth & a Frizzled rooster. Which means my bf has to build another door!!! Lol Just not sure how long I have to get it done?? :/ I'm down in my back right now, & my finances!! Lol

While looking back for their ages, I saw the 1st pics I took of them. I cannot believe how much they have grown!!!
This is "Squirt" at 1 week old and now. Always been soo sweet and precious! He was the runt and now he's the leader of the pack! He is my favorite!!! Shhhh!!! Don't tell the others!

and I'm not sure on this hen. I believe someone told me before she has to be Wheaton based

They're lovely! I particularly like your little non bearded paint cockerel. I'm not usually a fan of non bearded Silkies, but when they're good, they're oh SO good!
