I like to use a straight sizzle rooster over sizzled hens with frizzled feathers. That way, the majority of your birds are what we like to see best, the sizzles with the frizzled feathers.

So, since my sizzle died, can anyone recommend a sizzle breeder that will ship eggs? Probably wont be until next spring that I will hatch again, but I'd still like to know. Here's my sizzle that passed:

Him at a week old. He was a silver chipmunkish color. Sold to me as a pure silkie.

My most recent picture of him. Any idea of what to call his color? xD

Luckypickens is selling out all her sizzles and silkies. I just bought some off her myself. The last I checked all her sizzle hens were gone and only silkie hens remain, but she may have a sizzle rooster I didn't see and could still be breeding. Thanks for the list! I'm going to write these names down..

The last pics I posted are the chicks that I kept out of my first hatch about 4 weeks ago.

These are the 3 chicks, 2 frizzled and 1 smooth that I kept from the 2nd hatch I had. They are about 3 weeks old now...

I also just hatched another dozen chicks this week but it will be a couple weeks yet befor I know who is going to stay and who is going to go.

Very nice chicks! I like the look of that smooth chick from your second hatch. I always find it super exciting to see how they fill out. Keep posting pics!

HMM any guesses as to boy or girl?? I am hoping girl as a silkie roo will be easiest to find but if not I will just have to look a little harder

Excuse the wet feathers he seems to like it when it sprinkles in the heat of the day and will hang out unless it rains hard LOL

Would someone be kind enough to tell me the difference between the sizzle, frizzle and frilkie? Especially the frilkie? I'm pretty sure I have a good idea on the frizzle and sizzle, sizzle being a silkie x frizzle mix having some of the silkie fluff and frizzles having no fluff? How far off am I?
