Ok. ThanksIf you want more sizzles, breed the straight sizzles to the frizzled barbed feathered sizzles.
Your black is a regular sizzle. The two middles look like silkies, and the one on the far left looks like a smooth sizzle.Ok. Thanks
The 2 middle ones have a little "curl" to them. Not much. It's hard to tell in this picture since they are looking at me "like what the heck are you doing". I got these all from the same person so can I breed them together or do I need more from a different person? I'm not sure if they are brother and sister or not so can they be bred together if they are brothers and sisters??Your black is a regular sizzle. The two middles look like silkies, and the one on the far left looks like a smooth sizzle.
Thats the answer I was looking for! Thanks you!!It’s hard to tell from that pic but the white bird to the far left looks like a smooth barbed feathered Sizzle. The bird to the far right, the dark colored bird looks like a frizzled barbed feathered bird. I’m not sure about the two in the middle but looks like either Silkie feathered or frizzled Silkie feathered or possibly one of each.
If you were to breed the two on either end together, you would end up with birds looking like both of them but I believe more of the darker looking bird than the white bird. That is what I will be doing from here on out to get as many like your dark colored bird as I can. In my opinion, that is the most desired Sizzle.
If you breed your dark colored bird to either a Silkie or possibly one of the two you have in the middle of that pic I believe you will end up with a 25% chance of getting one of the following…
Barbed Smooth, Barbed Frizzle, Silkie feathered, Frizzled Silkie feathered
If the two in the middle are Silkie feathered and you breed them to a Silkie you will get…
Silkie feathered, and I believe some (a few) frizzled Silkie feathered
So the question is what type feathering do you desire? If the answer is… all of the above, breed your dark colored bird to a Silkie and you will have a chance of getting all 4 different feather types.
I hope I got this all right. In the beginning it was real confusing for me also but I’m starting to get a handle on it. LOL!
