In my all my years of raising chickens, the sleeping chicks are still one of the funniest things to see. They just plop down where they are and start snoozing! Sometimes they don't even make it to a sitting or laying position when they fall asleep, too!
And the totally relaxed look that has scared many of us into thinking our chicks had died, makes me envy the good sleep they must be getting!
So let's share some of those pics here! Show everyone your cute little babies, passed out in odd positions, or just looking like they dropped dead!
I'll post my own tomorrow when I get back on my desktop where the photos are. But I'd LOVE to see everyone else's pics in the meantime!
I have 14 beautiful and assorted breeds. All raised from babies! Building a new coop for the new babies as I am expecting a new batch to arrive . Bantam molted Cochin and Millie Fleur's 4 new next week. I have used Cedar shavings in all my nesting boxes and baby spaces! Crushed Oyster Shell for the floor of my coop! Can't wait to start the new coop for the Bantams
Besides the fact that this picture is hilarious, shmmccarthy, I find this breed very pretty. Might I ask what it is?
Turning eggs can be a bit boring, but it gets better once you hear the babies peep in their shells.Love all the pics here.. I am still contemplating on hatching eggs..for now I am contented on harvesting the fruits of my labor.![]()
