My mom has one, i think. Black and white? Purebred collie of some sort. He is untrained though. Family pet. He is definitely high energy, but no bad habits, unless you count extreme fear of strangers. They lived way up north in a cabin for a long time, and didn't get visitors.

ANY dog can be trained not to kill but I must say it is a tad bit harder with a bird dog to not kill a bird. The BC's are not bird dogs. They are herding dogs. But with patience and lots of training it is doable. The way Jessie was taught was we put small rocks in a plastic 2 liter pop bottle and attached it to a long rod. In training when she wouldn't follow a command we would rattle that toward her. It scared her enough she listened. It didn't take long before she knew what she was suppose to be doing.

I know i'm rapid fire this A.M, but i am so relieved someone's actually here...........

My bator spiked humidity after last night's rain storm, it was keeping around 30% yesterday, now it's a steady 45%. (I think it was staying 30, i only was able to put the metor in the day before yesterday.) I turned on the AC last night before going to bed, hoping it would dry the air a bit and lower the humidity. My LG is taped shut to keep temps steady. I am panicky this morning since it didn't drop. Am i over reacting? I am on day 15.

Humidity of 45% is ok. Lots of people run theirs between 40% and 60% I do dry incubation until lockdown.

My sis tried to wear a short skirt to school without leggings and mom said he wrapped himself around her legs to try to hide her bare skin, lol. Leggings from then on for her, thankfully!

Him and mom's job was getting her on the bus and getting her off it, or go to school and get her. Now sis just moved in with other sis, got a job. Poor guy is probably pining.

This is a dry incubation! Was anyway until the storm. :( I don't want them to get too much water in their little air cells, these are EE and the chicks i got from them last time from the broody were big. So i am panicky! But if it's not a huge deal i'll let it slide for now and do the wait-and-see for a bit more.

Other option is to untape and let it out, but then i have to watch the temps so they don't rapid-fall
