Oh no chicken drama. I was just worried that I wouldn't find her a place where she is happy. And let me tell you about Spike. He has moved to #1 chicken around her. I caught hubby holding him and talking to him yesterday. He always goes out there and talks to him. Elvis was his favorite but I think Elvis moved to #2 with him now. LOL

What feed were you using or should I not ask? I put ACV in my chicks water but probably should add another waterer with vitamins in it.today will be a cake walk compared to yesterday!

Back from the vet. My cocker has ruptured a disk in her back. Crate rest for a week, Prednisone treatment. carry up/down stairs.........
My vet I have used for 17 yrs. country vet has chickens and ducks himself. Asked him about described to him the chicks had to cull. Slipped tendons and crooked toes. He confirmed the slipped tendons. Said it is a result of poor nutrition. I guess i won't be using the one brand of feed TSC carries anymore. I have some left and am supplementing with vitamins in the water.
Truthfully Robin I don't know where that is as I don't go in that direction as a rule.

Could it be she is egg bound? I read that they can act this way. If this is the case then you should take her to a vet if you can. Search on the BYC site for 'egg bound' and maybe you can get some more information on it. And it may be possible to feel the egg (if there is one) in her vent or abdomen. If she is, you can try massage, heat, etc. to help but do some searching to check it out because this is just a guess.
