Well. Looks like it's time for this planet to get decontaminated! *Performs an epic leap onto the top of a gigantic zombie lizard's head and stabs the brain* WHOOOO! *Jumps back down to deal with the police zombies* Nasty little boogers.

*Closes the airlock behind Steve as a zombie tries to follow him*

Don't worry, Q9, I'll open the airlock for you.

*Blasts a few dozen more zombies out of existence*

We need to clean it up! The infection can't have gotten far - the oceans are extremely deep. Odds are it's localized to this island and the surrounding shoals. We can just carpet-bomb the infested zone!

Oh. Still, he's suggesting mass destruction on a smaller scale! That is NOT normal for him.

Well, we want to be able to colonize it eventually, right? Or at least make some use of it. Isn't that the whole point of searching out planets and exploring them?

Would anyone want to colonize a zombie-infested planet with almost constant nasty weather? I doubt it.

Still, I suppose it might be a waste to particle smash it...

Didn't you hear me? It's got to be a localized infestation. If they ventured through the ocean to the main continent, they would be crushed by the pressure. And the weather isn't almost constant. Radar indicates that it's pretty calm just across the ocean. There's probably stuff to mine here, too.
