Cant wait to hear!! Everyone that has reported in has been happy with their candling thus far. Please report in everyone!!!

not much to report here. My silkie is setting tight and the three eggs are intact. I have not candled since the first time, and every day I have to pull a few cochin eggs out of the nest. I can do it by feel because they are quite bigger than the serama eggs. In two days I will block her away from the rest of the flock, and hope for some poofballs to make their debut in a couple days! Thanks again.

PS, the other silkie in that pen went broody the other day.

Sorry I haven't checked in, my hatcher is on the fritz and I've been trying to fix it. I'm waiting for new parts. I't going to be a complete rewire job. I'm going to candle tonight. I've been keeping the incubator closed to keep the humidity up for hatching.

I thought my semara eggs were doing great. I candeled them last night and 6 out of 12 are still doing well. They should hatch next weekend. We are still hopeing that they will make it. Keep your fingers crossed. Dave27889

Um....well.....I kinda got confused on my dates. Went to check the bator this morning and I had 3 pips, in the turner!! I am on day 19 instead of 18. Took them out of the turner and candled......10 eggs went into the hatcher

. I have 1 baby almost out. I will take pictures and keep you updated!!

The week in transit did a number on my eggs. I only have 2 that made it all the way into the hatcher

Some were clear, some failed early and some failed late. Don't have my notes with me right now for exact #'s.

Weirdly, the speckled egg I was so fond of is one of the eggs that made it. Plus an itty bitty egg.

Someone was cheeping at me as I cranked up the humidity last night. No action yet that I can see, though...

I know what you guys mean. I am down to 6 eggs out of 12. It may even be only 5 eggs out of 12. One looks like it is a bloodring. I have cranked up the humidity to 65% yesterday. I am on day 19 today. No pips or anything just yet but I am hopeing. Lots of luck to all, dave27889
