Enlisted husband's help this morning and trimmed Artemis's floof just a little so she can (hopefully) see better. After we let her go, she promptly ran into the stepstool in the run, so we'll see.

and while we were our there, Bibu squatted for my husband! You know what that means! Eggs soon!

Very stylish new 'do for Artemis. I did chuckle a bit that she immediately ran into the stepstool, just when you thought you'd solved her vision challenges

Hope Bibu delivers those eggs ASAP!

Some fresh chick pics from yesterday! Artemis and Marcille are definitely bottom of the pecking order, but quite close with each other.

here you can see sort of side by side differences between Limu (top) and Bibu. Bibu is my smallest pullet, but she is undeniably the top hen in the pecking order.

Paprika is the second in pecking order. And skittish Lady Amalthea is in the middle of the pack.

Husband got the last of the roof panels up on the run! Just gotta apply the hardware cloth to the gable and add some finishing touches and the run will be done!

I'll have to get a picture tomorrow, he worked until right before sunset so it was too dark to take one tonight.

First egg!!!! Looks like Limu is the first to grace us with eggs! Honestly I expected Paprika, or maybe Bibu, to be the first to lay.
