Yup, I'm not the responsible party for these guys, sorry I missed your post ByNatureFarms.

Paul is a great guy, he's actually had a few auctions for these birds here on BYC. His username is PromiseLand.

I don't know about blue Sussex but there is somebody in Iowa with Lavender Sussex. She sent me pictures but since they are not my pictures I will not post them. She will have day olds this spring. They are amazing.

Thanks cherylcohen and jeremy.

What are the chances of getting a totally Blue Sussex?

They could be easily made using Blue Orpingtons, I would imagine.

anyone?

Do you have a picture? Not normally normal, but some don't like to be normal. It could be pure but PQ or it could be crossed. It is really hard to tell by black speckles over its back. Could you be maybe a little more specific...how big are the speckles?...where at on its back? But The best thing would be a picture.

I hatched out three chicks that i believe are Sussex from an assortment of eggs that i purchased on an auction at this site. Can someone please help me identify the color Sussex if indeed they are Sussex. The three that i am referring to are the reddish brown chicks with stripes. Thank you! Ruth

My Speckled sussex looked just like that as babies........... but I know nothing about the other varieties of sussex they may all start out like chipmunks for all I know......... but that's my guess.....Kim

I just posted for auction an assortment of chicks that includes 3 Red Sussex and 1 Silver Sussex chick. They were hatched 11/12/11 from an assortment of eggs purchased from a member of the forum. Please email me for more details if interested in them. They are cute as buttons but i don't have the space to work with this breed. Ruth
