Wow that hurts I know. I lost one a few months ago and I cried for days. Some people thought I was silly for being so upset over "just a chicken", but you get so attached...
You have my heartfelt sympathies.

Agreed on all the sympathies. I lost 6 to raccoons a few months back, but at least I had something to blame. I felt negligent for sure, but I knew what I had to do to correct the problem. Hope the rest of your flock fares better!

I've got two pullets on the way to go with my main roo ! A friend is keeping them with her peeps until they fully feather out - as I don't have the best set up for anything but late spring chicks But still, can't wait for mine - hope they are as pretty as yours.
