Hi Oscar,
Yellow legs means she carries foreign blood. There is another breed in her.
No Sussex ever has yellow legs. I am sorry. I don't know, but suppose
the old Black Sussex would have had slate legs. All the other color
varieties have white legs with a pinkish cast to them.

More than welcome. I know it is disappointing. We always hope a sport will show up somewhere
for these old colors. I think a Black Sussex would be stunning. The book which mentions them
was written in about 1925 so it wasn't that long ago. But there was a WWII between then and now, sigh.
