How are everyone's girls laying?
That is great! Such cool names for such fantastic birds. My 2 SS, Eggatha Christie and Margaret T. Hatcher, continue to lay regularly; about 4-5 eggs per week, each.
Great! I wonder if your soon-to-be pullets will lay a variety of colors. My SS is laying pretty regularly. Her eggs are still small (about 52 grams average) but they are getting up there in size. I actually put 4 of them under my broody hen last week and am hoping to hatch at least one pullet from her. The rooster is a cream legbar, so the babies should be interesting.
Mine are not laying at all. I was getting one egg a day but once it snowed and the routine changed - notta. I started a light in the coop a week ago. We'll see.How are everyone's girls laying?
