Well, we could take the Breeder part out for the ones that isn't breeders and just want to have a Club.

American Sussex Association (ASA)

That's not to bad.

I don't like SCA because that is the initials for a lot of student governments in schools -- "Student Council Association." I like American Sussex Breeders Association. (But of course you wouldn't have to breed to be a member.)

Is there away to do a poll or something?? put up the few names for a couple of weeks, vote on them and the one with the highest poll count will be the club name, then I can start on the website.

Club Name ??

Officers: President, Vise President, Secretary, Treasurer, (5) Directors and (3) Alternates.

Club By-Laws (already have most of them)

I belong to another Bird Association and every year we have a Convention last year it was in Colorado, year before that it was held if Florida, and this year we will be hosting it at our farm in Oklahoma.

Anyhow, it would be cool if down the road when this thing gets off the ground we could do something like that here.

I agree with this.

I am breeding Speckled Sussex now, working on Light Sussex and have a few project colors cooking up as well. This is great idea, especially since the interest in the Sussex breed has increased since Greenfire Farms imported and started dispersing their Sussex, that is probably why there isnt already a Sussex Association here in the US becuase there wasnt much interest in Sussex before then.

And Rare Feathers Farm, Did you get my PM ?

Yes, that name would get a lot of attention and maybe the membership would grow fast. And you would not have to be a breeder to be a member.

As of now there are 2 for Sussex Club of America.

and 6 for this one American Sussex Breeders Association
