The Sussex thread!

Showing Sussex question....

In the USA, it looks like Light, Speckled, & Red Sussex are the only varieties in the standard, so these would be the only varieties that can be shown in open shows? Can Coronation be shown in junior(4H) shows?
What about bantam Sussex, can these be shown in open shows, and what varieties?

These are my little buggers , 9 days old , the speckled variety . The two dark ones are GLWs . I was able to buy them from a local man , he had really nice chickens . THey were huge ! Ended up getting 6 Speckled Sussex and 4 GLWs . They are so sweet , hope there is a hen in there .

However, any variety can be shown, just can not win anything but Best of Variety and AOV: All Other Variety. So you can show them in an open show or a junior show.

We have plenty of shavings in SE Arkansas! truckloads of shavings! the finer shavings for bedding/litter is just $15 a p/u load.
