Just put 12 Cuckoo Sussex eggs in lock down.

I will post pictures of the chicks when they hatch!!!

Also just put 20 more eggs in the incubator!!!

On the coronation girls, can you tell me the size of the eggs you are getting, and was curious about color. How many do you avg per week.
I can't wait to get some eggs to compare to my other breeds. They are about 5 mos old now.

some of my breeder girls lay 6 times a week, but I guess an average for my flock is 4-5 a week, medium light brown egg

Okay I promised everybody to take pictures of the Cuckoo Sussex chicks when they hatched. HERE THEY ARE!!!!

Some of them look an a lot like Silvers.

Janice the mother of this breed, told me that 1 out of every 10 or so is solid black with black legs. That is exactly what I hatched. (11 hatched 1 with black legs)

I seriously love chickens.
