    Looks like black Swedish duck eggs to me. Doesn't say svart. I have 2 pair of svart,should be laying soon.

    My husband acquired a couple Svart Honas last year. Now it seems like the hen laid an egg, but it also seems like the rooster is up there with her. Do the Svart Hona roosters take turns sitting on the eggs?

    If they are the only two in the coop,he is probably just keeping her company while she lays. I've had chickens over 40 yrs,I only had one rooster that actually brooded eggs.

    No, he isn't.
    He was sitting on the egg though. Maybe they just cuddled up in the nesting box and an egg happened to be in there already. We do have other chickens. My husband will have to check when he goes out to the barn again.
