The things we do for our chickens

I have to work tomorrow morning, which means I have to get up real early. Tonight is their second night in their coop. The wind is up and its cold. So at 1045 pm, I decide that I want to put some plastic or something on the chicken coop to cut the wind down, as our coop is just some pallets with chicken wire over it. So we go out and staple some cardboard boxes to the coop to stave off the wind until we can get something more permanent to put on it. The things we do for our chickens. Now, its 1130, and I have to get to bed.

It's sad to think of them shivering in the cold. I feel smug and snug knowing my chickens are warm and safe.
