Hickoryshade stood up and nodded, grateful for an excuse to leave Crowfoot as he walked over.Cloverwing padded up to Bluefrost, “Will you go on hunting patrol with me?”
“Of course.” Bluefrost mewed. “Hickoryshade, you can come with us.” She called to the tom.
Bluefrost led the patrol, padding into the surrounding trees. “Do you want to split up? I suppose one of us could go hunt alone, and the other two hunt as a team. What do you think?” Bluefrost asked both of them.Hickoryshade stood up and nodded, grateful for an excuse to leave Crowfoot as he walked over.

Bluefrost had expected no better answer from the tom, and not waiting for Cloverwing to respond, mewed, “Cloverwing, you and Hickoryshade will hunt by the fallen oak, I’m going to try by the border with Riverclan.” Bluefrost was in an impatient mood today, and did not want to hunt in a team.“Whichever you want,” he shrugged. “I don’t have a preference.”
