“Skykit opened his eyes,” she reported cheerfully. “He also had a weird dream... He said it was about a tortoiseshell she-cat who said to become a warrior, then in his next dream she wouldn’t talk and got swallowed by shadows...”

He nodded and headed towards the warrior’s den, curling up in his nest and soon falling asleep.

Cloverwing’s ears flicked up immediately. That sounded like Mintpetal. It must be time. She sped to the medicine den. “Winterfire, you’re needed in the nursery!”
The two she-cats sprinted to the nursery. “Mintpetal, do you feel the kits coming?” Winterfire mewed.
