The tiny serama; a Hatching adventure

Any Serama updates?

Quite significant ones, actually! On Sunday (or Monday, can't remember; those two days were tough) number three crowed for the first time, which places his first crow at right around the 8 week mark! A new record!

On Tuesday, all three serama boys (along with three Cruella daughters) went to the breeder I got my breeding stock from, so their parent's breeder. He has a larger network, and I'm hopeful they'll either get to be great breeding birds for other people, or wonderful pets. They possess both an amazing temperament (which is largely genetic, due to the fear they showed while being with the Tsouloufates) and great conformation

@GreenJay Slick, probably the best bird I have produced. If Lady Gaga wasn't proven, more mature, and I had the space, and the guts to replace him, this guy would take his place. I wish I could have got some more time to see how he matures, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. If I get a female version of him next year, I'll be happy

Finally from the serama, Freddie @WoDia ! Now, you'll have to trust me. His posture is not that bad. He just HATES posing for the camera. He's probably the most fearful of the three, but I'd love to see his in a pet home, with some free range access. I think he'd love that

Fluffy, you don’t know how much I wish I could have him. He is sooooo PRECIOUS! I hope he finds a wonderful forever home, where they will spoil him rotten… just like I would! Love you teeny Freddie!

Moving on to the Tsouloufates. Out of the 19, 7 or 8 are males. That means 11 or 12 are females. I've already made my picks. There's some really nice birds in this batch. Picture two is Τσουρέκι, the (probably) cockerel. Finally got a picture of him

Awwwww Τσουρέκι . Beautiful feather pattern. He’s getting soooo big! I’ll take both of my adopted boys, Fluffy! I’m starting to wonder about my egg-choosing capabilities. I’m 2 for 2 with choosing eggs containing boys! Thank you so much for showing me!

I'm hoping he finds just that; a home to spoil him with a nice garden, a couple females, and some good food. He'd be as happy as can be

Sorry you can't keep him, hope he gets a good home and they send pics of him growing up!
