Fig and Fern are great names! They're so cute! I just love the little babies (even though they don't stay that way for long).

A 3rd egg?! This is an egg-citing development...keep us posted on that!

Is Foureira taking to them well?! Being a good mama?

Well, these particular babies will stay little...they just won't be babies .

I'll definitely keep you all posted on the third egg. I have a feeling Foureira is trying to continue brooding the third egg while raising the other two. Don't know how I feel about that...

She's an excellent mum so far. Even caught some kind of larva she found on the ground to feed to her babies. They're in good hands! Now all that's left to do is for Lady Gaga to imprint on the chicks

Hopefully the new family will soon include Lady Gaga. Foureira has yet to let Lady Gaga imprint on the chicks. Maybe this afternoon, when I'll try a bit of free ranging with them

Once being a new mum sinks in a little more, you know that Foureira will cautiously allow Lady Gaga to be around them. That will be a beautiful moment.

She’s been a wonderfully fierce broody girl. I must admit that I’m imagining that teeny mum all poofed-up chasing sweet Gaga all over the place!

You'd be imagining wrong! Every attempt so far (only two) she has puffed up, but SHE was the one that moved away! Not sure why. Lady Gaga is neither a rookie eith chicks, nor did he hurt peck, or even hackle flash her chicks

She’s probably feeling a little vulnerable right now… worried about protecting her chicks. That pretty mum likely isn’t ready for any ‘amorous’ attempts by Lady Gaga either!
