The tiny serama; a Hatching adventure

I've tried putting this off as much as possible, but there's no way around it. We had a fox attack Monday morning. Lady Gaga and a young Tsouloufati hen were taken. All his girls are safe, but he's not with us anymore. I loved that little guy so much. He was such an amazing rooster.



Now the bantams are roosterless, their only hope of having a male is that either Fig, Fern, or mixed breed Ubon (the chick that hatched under Ursula) is a male

Oh no....You must be heartbroken!!!! I am SO sorry Fluffy!! My heart is heavy for you, he was such a wonderful boy, gosh I just don't have the right words to say how sorry I am.

Fluffy, I’m SO sad for you and the flock. They will be missed deeply. HUGE hugs from me, Evvie, Clovie, and my flock.

Thank you all . Unfortunately, now his hens are all locked up again. I'm glad that at least he left behind some offspring, and that all his hens are safe. I don't expect a child of his to ever be as good as he was (especially when considering how young he was), but it's nice to have a part of him still here

I'm sure Cruella is rather sad about losing Lady Gaga. They all loved him, but he was the first male she really connected to; her previous one, Napoleon, she didn't like nearly as much (although he was a very good boy as well). Both Lady Gaga and Cruella shared the same love for chicks. They were both excellent parents

Its heartbreaking to lose them to Predators. Finding a pile of feathers is mortifying, turns your stomach for a long time.

But it is nice to know he left behind some of his offspring. I am sure Cruella will go through a mourning period, they feel loss too.

Again, my condolences, its not easy to recover from these kinds of losses.
