The tiny serama; a Hatching adventure

Pics
He's in with 3 pullets. Hopefully they lay a fair bit for the hatch. Yes, serama are know to sometimes have iffy hatch rates, so I'll be setting everything I can! That was mainly the reason for me asking if I could rinse dirty eggs, to set as many as possible
I usually don't clean my eggs and if they are really filthy, I just don't set them. However most eggs do fine being a bit dirty. I would just collect as many eggs as you can, I think you will have a great hatch! 😊

That's my plan! It's just a matter of these dummies laying in the nest instead of the frigging ground!

I didn't either, they chatter at me all the time, and a broody Cruella could speak with her eyes!

Cruella is actually very quiet. The only times she talks is when she's mothering chicks and does the cluck cluck thing, or when she's broody and you're close to her nest. Even then, it's very quiet. The ONLY time she's loud is when she gets off the nest to stretch, or the first day she has her chicks out of the nest, when she flaps her wings she goes CRAZY! That girl loves her wings!

On the other hand, you can hear Ursula from the neighbour's house if I'm late to tell them good morning

I agree with @TwoCrows. If they’re a little soiled, they’ll still hatch just fine. 😊

Well, I've shared this photo before, but this is the typical condition for an egg laid on the ground. These girls might be pretty, but they're not the brightest. They're the Karen Smiths of my chickens, if you will. Would an egg in this condition be OK to set?

I don’t hatch eggs, but it looks fine to me. I swear I’ve watched my girls lay an egg, think about it, and go back and poop in the nest right next to it 😡
She’s pretty, which girl is this?
