The tiny serama; a Hatching adventure

I appreciate it, Fluffy. The first time I attempt anything, like incubating Serama eggs, I have to know that I’m truly prepared. That being said, watching a broody do the incubating is SO MUCH EASIER… and less anxiety involved! It’s so nice to walk in, lift up a teeny girl, and discover an itsy bitsy chick!!!! And, my Serama broodies don’t act like velociraptors! It’s really quite cute.

Yes, that's so true! Experienced broodies especially make the whole process look so easy!

I don't mind any veloci-mums, as long as they keep those kids safe!

Sooo dumb question of the year. I believe pencil is safe to mark hatching eggs with, but are there any brands that are better than others?

As long as the pencil is made of graphite and not lead, they are all good!

I have a bunch of Faber-Castell pencils, and as far as I know those are made with graphite, so it should be safe
