I used a trash can last year for my hen that was in molt and they picked on her awful,she had her own little run with her trash can and hay in it,I let her out to free range during the daytime,I called her sick chicken and she knew her name I would call sick chicken and she would come running.She stayed in there for about 6 weeks and layed her eggs in there when she was getting bietter

Very good idea. I'll bet the hens like it too. We had a bantam (we call them banties) a long time ago who was very aggressive. I used a Dremel grinder to cut his talons off completely. He kept coming at us like he wanted to kill us. One day I hit him so hard with my fist that he bounced off a tree trunk and was unconscious for a minute or so. He never came near anyone again.

Reading the demeanor he is expressing in the photographs, my bet is that his next resting place will be the crock pot. Very evident that he has a dominant bad attitude.
