You may want to try replacing your yucky fake sweetner for local raw honey. Honey is delicious.

I have cut out all white sugar/fake sweetners and now I only use local, raw honey as my sweetner.

My big project this spring is going to be to start keeping bees. I plan on using raw honey as sweetener for everything. It's pretty expensive around here at like 12.00 a pint. I use honey in my home baked bread and it's getting too expensive buying the honey.

Karl - you know I think giving up Beer completely is - totally not helpful! Cut back yes savour the moment and take it as a treat once a week. DOn;t deny yourself your treat times.

Honey - I use that a lot here to sweeten things too. I want to try and keep bees but DH is frightened of them and then I guess the baby would probably go poke at the hive and then I would be in trouble!!!!!

The reason I started using honey was due to the fact that I have a lot of allergies (grass, trees, etc.) and the local raw, unprocessed honey will help me with my allergies. I found a local beekeeper that sells a quart of honey for only $10.00. It is delicious.

gmendoza, oh dear, you just need to add some healthy habits to your list!
Now, I read a lot. And every day I read about what is now good for us, that I have shunned for years... or felt guilty enjoying
I have been told over my life time that the things I like are bad for me.
Coffee is now very good for you, so knock that one off of the vice list.
Chocolate is now good for us, as is red wine and BEER. so we can have it if we want it with no shame.
Food, in general, is a lot like air. we need it. but we need clean healthy air, so cut out the cigars. and you are all good.

Okay, I am super proud of myself right now! I woke up with an awful cold. Normally I'd let that be my excuse to skip my workout and camp out on the couch with the remote to catch up on my TiVo recordings. I made a decision to work out 30 days straight, though, and I decided nothing will stop me. I only put in 30 minutes but most of it was at a steep incline. I made sure to drink extra water since I'm sick already. I'm tired and still feel awful but now I can feel a little accomplished as I veg out for the rest of the day.
