^The Two Forests^ A Shapeshifting RP

Colette walked back to the house, looking around to make sure that the vampires weren't following her. When she reached the house she locked the door behind her, sliding the safety latch across for good measure. Colette then walked upstairs, picking up and cradling sleepy Lillian as she whispered to Xylo. "Did you know that there are vampires in this town?" She said with a worried expression on her face "and only about 6 blocks away from the house!" she added.
Xylo nodded. He added "There are many dangers, but I'll protect us. Don't worry. I would never let someone hurt you without paying." He went up to her and kissed her passionately.

She kissed him back before breaking away. "I better get these two monkeys to bed" she said, rubbing the dark shadows beneath her eyes, that were from many sleepless nights. "I hope that they start sleeping for more than just a few hours each night" she said yawning. After settling them into their cots and getting changed into her nightie she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Xylo smiled and laid down next to her, falling asleep after a few minutes.

The harsh beeping from the persistent alarm on her bedside table brought Colette out of her deep slumber. She crawled out of bed, moaning when she realised that it was Monday morning and that she had to go to work. After a quick shower, she changed into a navy pencil skirt, smart white blouse and swept her long brunette hair into a tidy bun. She had a plain uneventful job as newspaper editors assistant in the Center of the city, doing little more than organising her bosses meetings and making him cups of coffee. She quickly prepared a simple breakfast for Xylo and the twins and left a not on the fridge door remind her husband that she was at work, before grabbing her keys, phone and handbag and heading out of the house.

Xylo woke up and went downstairs to start eating as the twins hadn't woken up. He looked sadly at the note, wishing she didn't have to work. He would present her with the surprise that he would pay off the house that week, which meant she didn't have to work.

On the way to the office Colette picked up a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin, although she secretly craved meat, she didn't want to look suspicious and attract attention.
