Neither, but if I had to choose it would be dogs. Except I hate little dogs, because they have an awful little yappy bark.
:lau totally understandable!!!
Why is there an option 'with rum' ??
I clicked it but I have no idea why.
Please explain. It does sound good to me!
I think it has to do with one of the old party threads but I’m not sure. They just started adding it to polls one day and it became a thing 😂

Dogs will follow you around, help you do stuff, guard your home, kids, chickens, whatever...they wait by the door and are excited to see you come home whether it's been 5 minutes, 5 hours or 5 days. They love you unconditionally and will just sit by you waiting for you to notice them.

Cats knock your stuff on the floor, give you attitude and want nothing to do with you 98% of the time except when it's super inconvenient and then they pretend to want attention but just really want to bite your hand.

I did have one awesome cat once. She followed me around, loved when I'd come home, purred and sat with me any chance she could, lived 15 years and was the best! And then I realized, she was basically a dog who used a litter box.
This is a perfect description. :lau :love

I love dogs that act like cats (a little more independent than the in-your-face-24/7 dogs). I have never been crazy about cats and they have too many downsides with disease, messing with the garden, etc.

But I could imagine deciding to get a semi-wild outdoor cat if we ended up with a bad rodent problem, since we are in a Hantavirus and plague area. Thankfully we haven't been faced with that yet. Our closest neighbors (~1/2 mile away) have had to get cats because of the rodent issue. They are a bit downhill from us, so in a slightly less arid and more vegetated area.
