The Variety Discussion Thread

I will just answer all the questions so you don't have to repeat them. LOL save your fingers from getting tired.
My favorite variety would have to be the Salmon Faverolles. I have 2 pullets right now and they are calm, comical and so so soft!
My least favorite would have to be RIR, The ones Ive met have been pushy, and kind of aggressive.
I have never bred any chickens! We got rid of our roos because they were mean and attacking. But, I'm interested in seeing and learning what you all have come up with.

Those are awesome mixes! They sound wonderful!
I hope you have success when you mix more!!

Your next question is:
  1. What was you favorite cross you made... And why?

Sincerely,
-The Angry Hen (K)
My favorite was the second gen BB/EE cross, because one of the chicks looks exactly like a White Brahma! I think it's kind of unique.

Thank you! Yes, that helps me a lot!
I agree with exactly those choices, Rhode Island's are pretty...

But they know it! Same here!
Great choices!

Putting a Delaware Rooster on a Cornish Rock and breeding the offspring to a Cornish Rock will create the ideal meat bird for the homesteader, also the first Cornish Rock alternative. Originally made by Timothy Shell and called the Corndel, it was a 25% Delaware 75% Cornish Rock cross made for pastured poultry production.
