*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Redd had stopped at the corner with the intent of watching where the girl went. He had followed her closely the past week since receiving the assignment, thus providing himself with the knowledge of where she would be at what times.

Edwin stepped into the empty carriage that was for him, Lariah, and Cliffton. He drummed his fingers lightly on his leg, deep in thought.

"I just told you. I came as Lady in waiting to the queen," Jane repeated, a smile spread across her face.
---------
"Terribly excited," Linnet grinned. It had been a while since she had seen Gwen this excited for anything.
-------
Edmund directed a few servants to fill up the vases with fresh flowers from the garden. He wanted it done as close to the actually time for the ball to start in order to keep them as fresh as possible.

(I think I'm going to change Edmund a few ranks up, FYI)

Alena felt a chill go down her spine. Was somebody watching her. Maybe it was just nerves. She went to prepare herself some tea.

Peter blushed. "Sorry. I guess I was just...nervous."

Gwen bounced in her seat. "Oh I can't wait!"

Alfric curses and slams his hand down on the ground. Suddenly he remembers where he is and his eyes widen. He jumps up and stumbles back onto the bed. Leaving dirt and grime on the floral covers. He shakes his leg nervously and looks around the room. Oh god this was a bad idea. A really, really bad idea. This isn't the princes room. It isn't a mans room at all. The walls are painted in pastel tones; china dolls sit proudly on delicate shelves, and a doe eyed girl sits under a tree patiently waiting for her prince, locked away in paint. She looks so distant. He moves his eyes over to the round, golden clock ticking away on the mantle. It's later than he thought it was.

Redd decided to make his move soon. Very soon. He headed for the kitchen in hopes of obtaining a cup of water or tea as the carrier for the poison.

Katrina set the large basket down. Straightening, she put her hands on her hips and looked around the room. Most of the maids were absent, probably eating in the kitchen. And here she was, alone, doing all the work.

Jane chuckled. "About what? I would imagine you've been to plenty balls before."
-----
Linnet winced as Gwen's bouncing shook the carriage. It caused a most uncomfortable pain up her back, but she tried to hide it with a broad smile.

Alena set her tea brew on a countertop, and went to the pantry to retrieve the honey.

Peter laughed and ran his fingers through his hair. "The queen does enjoy her parties."

(can the convoy reach their destination small talk is boring.)

Gwen watched out the window, she wasn't sure where Sir Edmunds estate was, but hopefully they would reach their destination soon.

Redd stopped by the doorway upon seeing several maids in the kitchen.
He'd have to do this later.

"What about you? Do you enjoy such things?" Jane questioned.

(Need Casper)

Alfric sits silently and looks around the room, totally absorbed in this world. It's so. Clean, and colourful. Nothing like his room, he didn't even have his own room. And it smelt different too. Like flowers and apple pie. He takes a deep breath and stands up, steadying himself against the bed post. He hasn't even noticed the mess he's spreading. The muddy footprints on the carpet. He wanders over to the door and grabs the doorknob, It creeks as he turns it. He chews his lip nervously and peers through the crack in the door. Nobody there.

Katrina frowned at the dusty mess on the ground outside the Queen's parlor door. She placed her hand on the knob, considering if she should enter. She knew the queen and king were absent, so they wouldn't see her.
