The vibes are working, pics

Hatching vibes must be working, both are externally pipping. We are so excited!! Now if only I can make it through my week of hatching before I have my little one... Doctor says I shouldn't go into labor tonight but he isn't betting that I will hold out much past the weekend...

Here is our first photo, they both hatched and need a bath, lol. Out of four shipped eggs, two live and alert goslings. 50% hatch!

Apparently, their cheeping was getting to the other eggs not due to hatch until tomorrow... look who beat them out of their eggs.

These are a pair of dark cornish sent as a suprise with some turkey eggs I had ordered. A third tried to hatch but ran into problems while we were at testing today. On the cornish eggs, five were sent and I don't remember how many made it to this stage but I am very happy with how healthy the chicks are.

They are beautiful! Now, wasnt that worth it! Now you can get on with the business of your own baby "hatching" too!

Thanks for the pics! Tina

Aw, thanks guys.

Bator is cheeping again, have two cochins and a Jersey Giant out so hopefully by tomorrow there will be several new babies in there. There are some cobbs, seramas, cochins, jerseys, phonenix, and others all due. I set the eggs in small groups over a 36 hour period, so as allow them to get up to temp quickly and not drop the overall temp in the bator because of the staggered hatch and also made sure I marked each egg so I knew what order they went in. This is also my first time hatching in egg cartons so it is a learning experience all around.

The goslings are suppose to be Pilgrim geese... to be honest I don't know if they really are as the last time I hatched an egg from this guy, apparently I hatched a brown Chinese... funny I was trying for Pilgrim geese that time around, too. If these are Pilgrims, then I have a pair of girls.

I am glad that you liked your surprise eggs and got 2 of them to hatch.
Steve seems to think that they are a pair (male and female). You will have
to keep us updated on that one. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for
a good hatch on the turkey eggs!!!!
