The "We received our chicks the week of 2/17, give or take" Club

I have a Delaware that just started tucking her head and walking backward and flipping. I'm forcing electrolytes and sugar. She is eating what the heck is this? I'm gonna try yogurt when she wakes up.

I believe I have heard that people use the baby vitamins with no iron to help with that vitamin deficiency. You could do a search on the forums to see how they administer it.

Our chicks are all doing great now! Growing and happy. I got a nice soft feather duster and taped it up in the corner of their brooder and they love snuggling under it

Some of the larger breeds are already up to 3 ounces. I just love all the different feather patterns already. I am excited to see how they all feather out.

The Cornish Cross now........MAN I forgot how FAST they grow!!!! One already up to 8 ounces. It was SO pretty outside yesterday that I took out some older White Plymouth Rocks (a couple weeks older) and the Cornish Cross to enjoy the weather. They LOVED it!!! Nibbling grass and fluttering about. I put them in a cage directly on the green grass. Safe and fun. One of my young bantam pullets was REALLY interested in them. I hope she turns out to be a nice broody.

Yes def wry neck. She is running around eating drinking and flying, but she still tucks her head walks back and rolls every once in a while. She's sleeping with the other babies and acts like a normal birdie. We r still getting up every 2 hrs to check on her but she is fighting her little tail off. I'm with her were gonna pull thru 100%. Sure has taught me a lot about chickens :jumpy

We named her Wonder Woman ..one tough little girl

Here she is with medicine all over her face lol she's running around eating right now just gave her some meds waiting for her to take a nap
