Ginger I love it!
Our girls will finally be able to move into their new housing in the next couple of days. They are looking lovely, getting some new feathers in over the last couple of weeks. The whole flock is looking lovely together.......with the exception of one odd looking white lace red Cornish. Her pattern is terrible and her wing feathers do not lay nicely at all. Healthy as a horse though, and sassy. They will have roll out nest boxes to explore and lay eggs in. I am super excited about those. So hopefully we will have uber clean eggs and the hens won't even have an opportunity to learn egg eating. I have only ever had a small problem with that for a short time and now not at all. But "a stitch in time".........
I am taking pics of our lovelies today.
Yes, I got the idea here on byc. He has one set complete and almost done with the second set. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/287684/new-rollout-nest-design-picture-heavy-edited-1-21 that is the thread where I got the plans. We did modify a tad so they are built in. These pics are from when he was partially done.Roll out next boxes? Awesome! I'd like to see a pic of those. Can't wait to see pics of your flock.
