I'm of course happy to be a member. I have a pretty full plate right now, but if you want to PM me the details of the secretary position, I'll have a look at it. Not promising anything though. (I know how these "volunteer" things work - you miss a meeting and all of a sudden you're in charge of a bunch of stuff!

If I wasn't taking care of so many chicks right now Kim, I'd take them in a heartbeat! And my DH will kill me if I incubate again right now - too bad I don't have a broody, he doesn't object to hens hatching, he just doesn't like the heat lamp.

I've got to get another incubator!!! i hate when both mine brinsea's are full

Erhard sent an extra egg, but two broke. My mail delivery person claimed responsibility. She said said she had it on the bottom of her boxes and hadn't even read the "Fragile - Hatching Eggs" label. These eggs traveled from Washington State to Minnesota in mid-February. Of the 17 that went into the incubator, three were non-starters and two didn't make it out of the egg. We were very pleased with a dozen healthy chicks. They're two weeks old now and are growing like weeds.

I'll post some more pictures soon.

Hey Pink, here's my Wellie egg update! All went into lockdown this morning; two are iffy, but I wasn't about to toss them out just in case.......... Cross all fingers and toes that I'll soon be posting pix for helping sex them! (And that I don't get all those cockerels the other folks DIDN'T get..........)
