Would you guys say that Welsummers do well in the cold? I love the thought of having Welsummers, but I live in the snow belt, so it may not be possible.

It is going to be a HOT day again........the Wellies are fine as long water is coming LOL! They don't eat much tho.

I agree with Ewesheep...they normally do just fine, but I don't experience the winters that alot of the country does. Here in the Pacific Northwest we can get some cold and snappy days and we have been known to get a little snow and the chooks do just fine. I have not had any issues with frostbite.

Good luck with your hatch! These are the eggs from Johan, right? Or your own with Stephanie? Anyhow, I hope they hatch well for you!

I have to get out there and get some pictures of my 2 wellie pullets from you. They are both looking great, now they just have to grow up! My pullet from my flock is almost 22 weeks now, so I'm anxiously awaiting her first egg. (probably a couple more weeks off)
