Ohhh and totally off topic....well not so far off topic as Wellies were created from Barnies

, but just have to share with you, 6 out of 8 Barnie eggs made it to lockdown yesterday, please keep your fingers crossed.

Good luck with your hatch! These are the eggs from Johan, right? Or your own with Stephanie? Anyhow, I hope they hatch well for you!

I have to get out there and get some pictures of my 2 wellie pullets from you. They are both looking great, now they just have to grow up! My pullet from my flock is almost 22 weeks now, so I'm anxiously awaiting her first egg. (probably a couple more weeks off)

Thanks! No the hatch from Johan was over like 6-7 weeks ago. Only 2 hatched, 1 boy, 1 girl. I still have the girl but sold the cockerel.

But these are still pure Johan anyway.

These eggs are from Stephanie and Ugg....will keep you posted about what hatches. Ohhh and I haven't heard back from Johan yet either.

Can't wait to see the girls and I hope that girl of yours decides to find her groove and gets to making you some eggs...SOON!

Thanks Robin! Stay cool! We had a glimpse of the sun yesterday and for the most part it stayed pretty dry after some late morning drizzle that lasted for about an hour...other than that.....gray skies.

Send us some of that heat.....we'd be happy to take some off your hands.

Hot and humid today........would be glad to send some your way!

Kim, your girls wouldn't cooperate and come outside to play. The flash really distorted their colors, and well, my coop needs cleanin'.

I'll kick them out later so I can clean the coop and hopefully get some good shots of them.

And for Robin, who was asking about her coloring, I got some good shots showing this Moose/Cleopatra pullet colors today:

OOooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh! Box her up and send her to ME!!!! She is downright goreous! even a tad darker but LOVELY neverthanless!

She is definately a keeper because she does have a very good stance, deep chested, speaks "feminine" in her own way...waala la la! Wooo hooooooo!

I would love to use the second photo to add more on the pullet/hens section of the WCNA. All I got is Royce's hen on there so far.

I put 8 pure welsummer eggs under a freshly broody BO hen 1 week ago along with 3 ameraucana eggs fertilized by the same Welly roo. Hopefully 8 wellys and 3 olive eggers in 2 weeks.

I was saving the eggs to incubate when the hen went broody.

Thank you Robin - can't send her to ya, I'm keeping her, but I could offer some offspring later.
