I'm also putting a dozen Welsummers (my first time with this breed, not my first hatching experience) into my incubator on Saturday (or maybe Sunday - the eggs are in the mail and once they get her, they need to rest a day to get their air pockets back in place in case the USPS played soccer with the box). I've got some of my own Ameracaunas and some Speckled Sussex going in, too. We'll have to keep in touch.

YES, I love the Sussex!!! Laid back and great egg layers! My son showed Speckled Sussex a couple years ago in 4H and did well. Love them also!!! I had a huge beautiful speckled sussex rooster...........MAN HE WAS AWESOME! BUT he hated me. Tried to flog me every time I went in the pen. had to give him to a friend of mine.
